Gov. Tom Wolf continues his pitch to raise Pennsylvania’s minimum wage, even in the face of daunting odds.
Wolf has proposed raising the minimum wage to $12 per hour this year and lifting it to $15 per hour by 2027. The Democratic governor has been trying to increase the minimum wage for years but hasn’t been able to secure enough support in the Republican-controlled General Assembly.
In a news conference Tuesday, Wolf said, “Pennsylvania’s workers are being left behind and all of us, all of us, are suffering for it.” He implored Republican leaders to raise the minimum wage. Continue reading.
