Crews will start the installation next week, the release stated. The construction will improve reliability for customers, reduce service disruptions and increase water flows for firefighting, according to the release.
The company expects to complete the water main upgrades, weather permitting, by the end of October, the release stated.
Pennsylvania American Water is a subsidiary of American Water Works Co. Inc. Shares of American Water, based in New Jersey, are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol AWK.
