Orrstown opens Berks County office
Staff comprised of National Penn employees
The move follows Orrstown’s recent addition of regional offices in the Harrisburg and Lancaster areas. The bank, a subsidiary of Orrstown Financial Services Inc., is based in Shippensburg.
“This newest location in the Berks County is another step in the execution of our strategic plan and we look forward to future expansion and the opportunity to fill a void in the community banking space as a result of unprecedented recent market disruption,” said Thomas R. Quinn Jr., Orrstown’s president and CEO.
The Berks County office will house the bank’s trust and wealth management group, Orrstown Financial Advisors.
The 3,000-square-foot facility will provide office and customer meeting space and could eventually house other business lines.
The office, at 1100 Berkshire Blvd. in Wyomissing, will be staffed by previous employees of National Penn Investors Trust, according to Mark Bayer, a spokesperson for Orrstown.
There are no current plans for full-service branches in Berks County, Bayer said. However, opportunities are being assessed.
