Facilities Planners Architects will develop a facilities plan to accommodate the planned growth of Keystone Helicopter of Coatesville, Chester County. Keystone Helicopter is a division of Sikorsky/United Technologies, which manufactures and customizes helicopters for the commercial market.
A local investor bought an 8,797-square-foot office building at 4601 Devonshire Road, Lower Paxton Township, from Patriot Investment Associates. Landmark Commercial Realty Inc. of East Pennsboro Township handled the sale.
Harrisburg Psychiatric Associates PC leased 857 square feet of office space for its new location at 3544 N. Progress Ave. in Susquehanna Township from Dawn Marie Realty Inc. Landmark Commercial Realty represented both parties.
Reynolds Consulting Engineers of Harrisburg will provide building-commissioning services for the new Park Avenue Child Care Center at Penn State University’s main campus in State College. The 18,000-square-foot facility is designed to accommodate 170 children and provide classrooms and program space for the university’s child-care program. The project aims to obtain LEED gold-level certification and has an estimated construction cost of $5.5 million.
Reynolds Consulting Engineers will perform retro-commissioning services to the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system at Oxford High School in Oxford School District in Chester County.
Reynolds Consulting Engineers will perform pre-construction-phase commissioning services for the Northeast Regional Center project of the Community College of Philadelphia.
STV Inc. and Reynolds Construction Management Inc. of Harrisburg will provide construction-inspection and project-management services for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission’s new central administration data center in Middletown. A building will be renovated to house the main data processing center, communications PBX room and the EZ Pass and traffic operations center. Construction is estimated to cost $32 million and wrap up in December 2009.
Reynolds Construction Management will provide pre-construction and construction-management services for additions and renovations planned at Muhlenberg Middle School in Muhlenberg School District.
Reynolds Construction Management will perform pre-construction and construction-management services for the Queen Street Station expansion project and the renovations project at Red Rose Transit Authority’s (RRTA) operation center in Lancaster. The station project includes the addition of three bus berths, construction of a 400- to 450- space parking garage and two levels of lease space. The center project includes replacement of major building systems and renovations to the administrative, maintenance, storage and wash facilities.
Lobar Inc. of Dillsburg provided additions and renovations to Bloomsburg University’s Redman Stadium in Columbia County. The project included a new press box, elevator and auxiliary restroom, upgrades to bleachers, field lighting, parking-lot paving and synthetic track surfacing.
Lobar completed an electrical contract for Chambersburg Area School District’s new 92,790-square-foot Benjamin Chambers Elementary School at 401 Miller St. in Franklin County.
Lobar constructed a three-story, 24,000-square-foot children’s wing addition to James V. Brown Library in Lycoming County.
Lobar constructed a four-story, 7,600-square-foot “burn building” for fire training and demolished an old burn building in Manchester Township for the Fire Chiefs’ & Firefighters’ Association of York County Inc.
True Believers Fellowship leased 2,800 square feet of retail space in The Heights Plaza at 180 Leader Heights Road in York Township from Metro Land Associates. Coldwell Banker Commercial Bennett Williams of York represented both parties.
Barton Healthcare of York will provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing-design services for a 10,000-square-foot fit-out for a new ambulatory surgical center near Hanover. The center will include class C operating rooms, prep and recovery areas, and associated office and support space upon completion in August. Barton Healthcare is a division of Barton Associates Inc., also in York.
Barton Healthcare completed mechanical, electrical and plumbing-design services for renovations and additions to Lancaster General Hospital’s radiation oncology unit. The project included a new tomotherapy vault and associated control room, a data server room, a planning room and a terrace adjacent to a 3,375-square-foot addition in the southeast corner of the hospital.
