REAL ESTATE NEWS: openings, contracts, transactions, relocations

The Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials and the Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators purchased the former School Claims Service building at 2608 Market Place in Commerce Park, Susquehanna Township. PASBO has more than 3,200 members, and PASA represents more than 800 school administrators. NAI CIR of Wormelysburg handled the deal for the 13,100-square-foot property.

CRA Collection Company Inc. leased 3,300 square feet of office space at 1150 Lancaster Blvd. in Mechanicsburg. Landmark Commercial Realty Inc. of East Pennsboro Township represented the tenant, and RSR Realtors of Lemoyne represented the landlord, St. John’s Holdings Inc.

Simon J. Rogers, doing business as Basildon Financial, leased approximately 1,000 square feet of office space at 4811 Jonestown Road in Lower Paxton Township. Landmark Commercial Realty represented the property owner, OLS Partners.

Retirement Collaborative leased approximately 900 square feet of office space at 2000 Linglestown Road in Susquehanna Township. Landmark Commercial Realty represented the property owner, 2000 Partners.

SharpVisions Inc. leased approximately 1,200 square feet of office space at 4813 Jonestown Road in Lower Paxton Township. Landmark Commercial Realty represented the property owner, OLS Partners.

Game Traders Club leased retail space at 5 S. Market St. in Elizabethtown. Landmark Commercial Realty represented the tenant and the landlord, KADA Group.

Philly Soft Pretzel Factory leased space in St. John’s Place at 4401 Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg from Lady Remlyn Inc. The first Philly Pretzel Factory in this area will open in June. Commercial Realty Group Inc. of Lemoyne represented both parties.

K&W Engineers and Consultants in Swatara Township received a contract from Charter Homes of Lancaster County to provide site- and civil-engineering services for Florin Hill, phases two and three, a traditional neighborhood development in Mount Joy. K&W provides civil engineering and consulting services.

The Deeter Gallaher Group relocated to Rossmoyne Business Center at 4999 Louise Drive in Upper Allen Township.

Herre Bros. Inc. of Hampden Township signed a contract with Mid State Construction for mechanical work at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Derry Township. The project is scheduled for completion by mid-June.

Herre Bros. signed a multimillion-dollar contract to replace the coal-storage and -handling system at Camp Hill State Correctional Institute.

Lobar Associates Inc. of Carroll Township signed a general construction contract for structural repairs and roof replacement at Paramount Brethren in Christ Church in Hagerstown, Md.

Lobar Associates signed a construction contract to renovate a Giant Food Store in Newport, Perry County. The project is scheduled for completion in June.

Professional Design & Construction Inc. of Landisville is building a 92,000-square-foot headquarters for Lift Inc. on Hempland Road in West Hempfield Township.

Professional Design & Construction Inc. signed a design-build contract to expand Penn Cinema movie complex near Lititz.

K&W Engineers and Consultants of Swatara Township signed a contract with Crabtree Rohrbaugh Associates to provide site- and civil-engineering services for an estimated 35,000 square feet of expansion and renovations to Connellsville Area Career and Technical Center in Connellsville Area School District. Construction cost is estimated at $13 million. Construction is slated to begin in June and be completed in November 2009.
