NJ law firm opens government affairs office in Harrisburg

//June 13, 2019

A new government affairs office has popped up in Harrisburg with some familiar faces at the helm.

New Jersey-based Archer Public Affairs, an affiliate of regional law firm Archer & Greiner, has planted a Pennsylvania outpost at 1007 N. Front St. in Harrisburg. Leading the capital city office will be John Taylor, former chairman of the state House Urban Affairs Committee, the House Liquor Control Committee and, most recently, the House Transportation Committee.

Taylor, a Republican from Philadelphia, served in the state House for 17 consecutive terms before retiring from elected office last year. Since then, he has been serving of counsel to Archer & Greiner. He was appointed to the role of Pennsylvania director for Archer Public Affairs in January.

He is joined by government affairs specialist Eric Bugaile, who previously served as executive director of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Transportation Committee. Bugaile also serves as chairman of the Capital Area Transit Authority in Harrisburg.

“The decision to open a new office allows us to magnify our presence in the region and be at the heart of government in Pennsylvania,” Taylor said.

The Pennsylvania team at Archer Public Affairs will serve a wide range of industries, including transportation, real estate, energy and environmental.
