Accounting

Chambersburg-based Rotz & Stonesifer P.C. named Anne M. Day director of human resources. She will handle recruiting, policy and procedure writing, and federal and state compliance. She has a degree from Elizabethtown College.

Architecture/engineering

York-based Barton Associates Inc. named Tony Ricketts a mechanical engineer in the Pittsburgh office. He will perform design, calculation and layout; equipment research, selection and specification; and code review and interpretation. He is a professional engineer and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional, Building Design Construction. He also has a bachelor’s degree from Penn State. David J. Myers was named senior electrical engineer in the York office. He was employed with the company. He will perform system selection, equipment research, selection and specification and research of code requirements. He is a professional engineer, a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional and has a bachelor’s degree from Widener University.

Associations

Harrisburg Regional Chamber & Capital Region Economic Development Corp. named Ryan Abercrombie director of communications. He will be the point of contact for all media inquiries and set the chamber’s strategic communications plan. He was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, where he served as a flight officer and later as a news desk officer. He is a graduate of Bucknell University and has a master’s degree from George Mason University. Justin Roth was named marketing and communications manager. He will boost the Chamber & CREDC’s visual brand and lead marketing efforts. He was marketing and communications specialist. He is a graduate of Lebanon Valley College.

Chicago-based Real Estate Business Institute, which administers the Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager designation, named Joe Younger a member of its professional development committee. He will help oversee the education curriculum and instructor benchmarks for broker training. Younger is a broker with Lancaster-based Younger Realty Group.

Pennsylvania Public Relations Society named Larissa Bedrick president, Erin Waters-Trasatt vice president, Ken Robinson secretary and Carolyn Simpson treasurer. Bedrick is director of communications with the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association. Waters-Trasatt is press secretary with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Robinson is senior strategist with Quantum Communications. Simpson is deputy director of communications with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General.

Banking/finance

Lower Paxton Township-based Centric Bank named Nina Bickel mortgage loan officer in the mortgage department. She will develop and maintain relationships with Realtors, attorneys and title companies and provide service to customers applying for mortgage loans. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Lancaster-based Fulton Bank named Steven N. DeRise vice president and group manager at the Cocalico branch. He will be responsible for business development, community involvement and oversight of several branches. He was branch manager. He has a bachelor’s degree from Millersville University.

Construction

Lancaster-based Wohlsen Construction Co. named David W. Porter a project manager and estimator for the self-perform group of concrete and carpentry. He has an associate degree from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. Karl M. Kosjer was named a senior estimator. He has 34 years of construction experience. Kevin J. Zimmerman was named an estimator. He will specialize in mechanical, electrical and plumbing services. He has an associate degree from ITT Technical Institute. Brad Zeamer was named mechanical, electrical and plumbing field coordinator. He served in the U.S. Navy.

Education

Millersville University named Elizabeth Swantek Title IX coordinator. She was assistant to the dean of students at Wilkes University. She has a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Wilkes University. Renardo Hall was named associate vice president for student affairs and enrollment management. He will oversee the Center for Health Education and Promotion, the university’s health services, counseling and human development, judicial affairs, and university police. He was assistant vice president and dean with Mississippi Valley State University. He has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northern Illinois University.

Health care

Lancaster Health Center named Jacqueline Brysacz and Elena Shu certified registered nurse practitioners. Brysacz was a family nurse practitioner with Hamilton Health Center. She has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. Shu was a registered nurse with UPMC Pinnacle West Shore. She has a bachelor’s degree from Edinboro University, a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and a master’s degree from Widener University.

Insurance

Springettsbury Township-based McConkey Insurance & Benefits named Brooke Holub client service agent assistant in the commercial lines division. She has an associate degree.

Law

Pittsburgh-based Tucker Arensberg P.C. named Brett M. Woodburn a shareholder in the corporate group in the Harrisburg office. He focuses his practice on real estate law and assists clients in professional licensing law, employment law and general corporate matters. He was a clerk to McKean County Court of Common Pleas Judge John M. Cleland. He has a bachelor’s degree from Allegheny College and a law degree from Ohio Northern University.

Susquehanna Township-based Smigel, Anderson & Sacks named Erik M. Hume a partner. His practice focuses on real estate transactions, zoning and land development, business law, municipal law, and oil and gas law. He is a graduate of Lehigh University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
