Newsmakers: Penn State Hershey names executive director of Pro Wellness Center

Companies in the midstate have announced new hires and promotions in the following industries: architecture and engineering, associations, banking and finance, construction, government, health care, insurance, law and retail.

Architecture and engineering

East Hempfield Township-based David Miller/Associates Inc. named Adam C. Westgate a landscape architectural designer. He has design and graphics experience from a number of greater Washington, D.C.-area projects and a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from West Virginia State University.

Swatara Township-based Herbert Rowland & Grubic Inc. named John Shambaugh a project manager with its civil service group. He is a professional engineer and owned a consulting firm for more than 30 years. Jennifer Miller was named a project manager with the water and wastewater service group. She is a professional engineer with seven years of experience, a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Cornell University and a master’s degree in civil engineering from Arizona State University.Jamie Eberl, Scott Fisher and Aaron Moyer were named staff members. Fisher will handle construction administration and observation, and Eberl and Moyer will handle civil engineering design tasks related to municipal infrastructure, water resources and stormwater management.

York-based Site Design Concepts named Charity Kadwill a landscape architect. She has more than six years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Penn State.

Rochester, New York-based Erdman Anthony named David Meckes a marketing coordinator with its office in Upper Allen Township. He has a bachelor’s degree in human communication studies from Shippensburg University.

York-based Buchart Horn Inc. named W. Scott Loercher associate vice president of the architectural division. He was principal and director of design. He is a licensed architect and has a bachelor of architecture degree from Temple University.



Lancaster City Alliance elected John T. Reed of Barley Snyder chairman, David R. Proulx of Franklin & Marshall College vice chairman, Craig A. Roda of Fulton Bank secretary and Lori A. Pickell of Irex Corp. treasurer. Dennis R. Roemer of LG Health was elected to the board.

Banking and finance


Lower Allen Township-based Members 1st Federal Credit Union named Jessica Whitmyer vice president of finance and controller. She has 12 years of auditing experience, most recently as a senior manager with BDO USA LLP. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Shippensburg University. Michael Glancy was named manager of the York Road branch in Carlisle. He was assistant manager of the Palmyra branch. He has 8 years of banking experience and a bachelor’s degree in history from St. Francis College.
