South Central Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants elected Jared E. Miller president, David A. Manbeck president-elect, Rachel J. Sargent secretary and Brenton E. Way treasurer. Miller is president of JEM Tax Consulting LLC and an accounting instructor with York College. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in taxation from Villanova University. Manbeck is a director with Boyer & Ritter CPAs and specializes in nonprofit entities. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Bloomsburg University. Sargent is controller of Petroleum Products Corp. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from Lebanon Valley College. Way is financial controller of West Shore Window & Door. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Saint Francis University.
Swatara Township-based Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association named Drs. Michael J. Zawisza president, Anthony E. DiMarco president-elect, George D. Vermeire vice president, William A. Wewer of Dauphin County secretary and treasurer and Robert S. Dolansky Jr. of Lehigh County immediate past president. Dr. Jeffery J. Dunkelberger of York County was named speaker of its House of Delegates and Dr. Gene M. Battistella of Allegheny County vice speaker. Zawisza has a family-owned private practice in Schuylkill County. He also is medical director of Covenant Home Health Care and Hospice and an associate clinical professor with the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a graduate of the University of Sciences and PCOM. DiMarco is managing physician of Parkesburg Family Medicine in Chester County and medical director of LG Health Urgent Care-Parkesburg, as well as an adjunct faculty member with PCOM. He is a graduate of LaSalle University and PCOM. Vermeire is medical director of Aetna Inc. northeast region and based in Montgomery County. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and PCOM. Wewer is a partner with Family Practice Center PC in Steelton and a staff member with PinnacleHealth System. He is graduate of Elizabethtown College and PCOM.
Harrisburg-based Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania named Jay Parrish, Brian Rusignuolo and George J. Spanos board members. Parrish is executive vice president and chief information officer of Members 1st Federal Credit Union; Rusignuolo is senior vice president and chief information officer of Select Medical Corp.; and Spanos is vice president of global business systems with The Hershey Co.
