Mary Oliveira, former Vice President of Member Growth and Strategy for the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, is joining new Harrisburg business entity Color & Culture, Inc. as COO, effective November 1, 2022.
Oliveira’s experience includes business operations, strategic planning and partnerships, change management, and organizational development.
Color & Culture, Inc. was formed from the union of Harrisburg-based firms Latino Connection and PPO&S Integrated Marketing Communications, announced in October 2022. The merger brings together 40 years of advertising and marketing experience.
“This opportunity brings together a culmination of passion, experience, and servant leadership and I am so grateful to begin at the ground floor with Color & Culture to help carefully build an organization that is highly in tune to the multicultural market,” said Oliveira, who joins President & CEO George Fernandez and Chief Brand & Strategy Virginia Roth and the combined firms’ 30 marketing and communications professionals.
“It is incredible to be able to pinpoint a moment that I know will become a major turning point for me personally as well as the many, many individuals who will be positively impacted by the work of Color & Culture for years to come.”
Oliveira served as Senior Business Development Manager at PSECU prior to her tenure at the PA Chamber. She holds degrees in International Relations and Communications from American University and earned her Master of Science in Organizational Development and Leadership from Shippensburg University.
Oliveira is a graduate of Leadership Harrisburg Area’s Community Leadership Service and is involved in several community missions and organizations and is licensed by the Allstate Foundation in Nonprofit Leadership Management.
“Mary’s vibrant leadership and distinguished experience is a winning combination that will steer the vision and drive the progress of Color & Culture,” Fernandez said. “With influential leaders like Mary at the helm, we are poised to launch Color & Culture’s mission to ambitious new heights.”
The addition of Oliveira is part of Color & Culture’s aim to grow its team with strategic hires who will place color and community first to transform how clients reach Pennsylvania’s fastest-growing markets. Color & Culture seeks to aid clients by using compelling and relevant communications to reach all communities, cultures, and markets.
