Melt Spa by Hershey, a new day spa promising signature Hershey’s dark chocolate treatments, is coming to downtown Hershey this fall.
The spa will occupy about 9,000 square feet of space on the first floor of the building, said one of the building’s owners, Neil Yahn, a partner at JSDC Law Offices. A company owned by the partners at JSDC last year bought the three-story building from The Hershey Co. for $1.9 million.
“(The spa) complements the existing retail businesses surrounding it in the downtown,” Yahn said.
Melt Spa will offer a variety of services including body treatments, facials, manicures, pedicures, hair styling, makeup and waxing.
JSDC plans to occupy about 16,000 square feet of space on the second and third floors of the building, also by this fall. The firm has 24 attorneys and has been using about 11,000 square feet at its Sipe Avenue headquarters — about two miles from the new building.
Because of recent hires, the firm’s home since 1994 is no longer big enough.
A 4,000-square-foot ground-floor space at 11 E. Chocolate Ave. is expected to be leased by a financial planner, Yahn added
Harrisburg-based architect Chris Dawson has been working with the firm on design plans for the building.
