A C-Town Supermarket officially opened today in York, becoming the first traditional supermarket in the central part of the city in the past few years, officials said.
Officials cut the ribbon this morning on the new supermarket on North Duke Street. It replaces a Save-A-Lot grocery store that relocated from the same spot several years ago, according to a news release.
The location creates 35 jobs in the city and provides another downtown location where residents can buy fresh food, said York Mayor C. Kim Bracey.
The C-Town has leased more than 14,000 square feet for the new location, according to York-based Rock Commercial Real Estate.
