Nation’s largest barre franchise opens studio in Silver Spring Township

Pure Barre, the largest barre fitness franchise in the country, has opened a studio in Silver Spring Township.

The chain opened a 1,553-square-foot studio at Trindle Run Center on the Carlisle Pike, a new retail center that is already home to a Starbucks, Chipotle and Pet Valu.

The center sits across from Silver Spring Square, a power retail center containing Wegmans, Target, Kohl’s, Best Buy, Ulta, Bed Bath & Beyond and Panera Bread.

MSC Retail, which represented Pure Barre, said it identified this part of the Mechanicsburg area as the best place for a boutique fitness business, given the daytime traffic, upscale housing and the strong retail mix.

Laura Deitch is the local franchise owner for the chain. Pure Barre has more than 400 studios in North America.

Boutique fitness studios have been popping up around the Harrisburg area in recent years. Absolute Pilates and Burn30 Personal Fitness are two local companies that have been expanding.
