National golf retailer to serve as co-anchor in Mechanicsburg plaza

National retailer Golf Galaxy will join the Silver Creek Plaza at the Pike shopping center, Smith Land & Improvement Corporation announced.
Construction on the new 20,898-square-foot co-anchor is expected to begin this month. Golf Galaxy will be situated next to REI Co-op in the plaza that is located at 6391 Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg.
“We could not have hand-picked a better co-anchor for this location,’” Richard Jordan III, president and CEO of Smith Land, said in a statement. “Golf Galaxy is a golfer’s dream, and there’s certainly a market for that in this area. It will be a welcome addition to the plaza and the community.”

Owned by Dick’s Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy offers a selection of name brand apparel, bags, balls, clubs, footwear, and accessories including Callaway, TaylorMade, and Titleist. Golf Galaxy also offers club fittings and features online services and tutorials designed to improve one’s golf game.
Along with REI Co-op, Golf Galaxy’s neighboring stores in Silver Creek Plaza on the Pike include Buffalo Wild Wings, Domino’s F&M Trust, Great Clips, Neato Burrito, Urban Churn Craft Creamery, and Wild Birds Unlimited. Macris Chocolates and Panera Bread are reportedly joining the plaza soon as well.
