Mr. Sticky’s will open a new store in Mechanicsburg on Friday.
Local businessman and retired veteran Phil Stuck will open the franchise at 4830 Carlisle Pike in the Karn’s Plaza. A ribbon cutting was held Thursday.
Stuck, who said he enjoyed Mr. Sticky’s sticky buns over many hunting trips to Potter County, decided to open the franchise to bring the treats to Mechanicsburg.
“For years I’ve savored Mr. Sticky’s unique treats that just truly can’t be matched by anything else out there. I knew it was time to bring this incredible brand to Central Pennsylvania and I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity that awaits,” Stuck said. “My advice when coming to visit us is to come early and come hungry!”
During the ribbon cutting Steve Lubart, West Shore Chamber of Commerce board president said, “It is always a special occasion to welcome a new business to our local community. And this occasion was made all the ‘sweeter’ with such a renowned brand choosing Mechanicsburg for its newest location. We encourage the community to come out and support this small, veteran-owned business; you will not be disappointed!”
Mr. Sticky’s started as a family business out of Centre Hall. With the rapid success of Mr. Sticky’s “extremely addictive” sticky bun recipe, the business began offering franchise opportunities.
Mr. Sticky’s offers the regular Mr. Sticky, the walnut sticky, or the cinnamon bun loaded with Mr. Sticky’s own cream cheese icing or peanut butter icing. The business has recently expanded its offering to include flavored coffees that pair perfectly with its treats.
Mr. Sticky’s will be open Monday through Saturday, 6am–3pm.
