Construction company Mowery owner and president David Cross announced that he will assume the role of CEO at the company.
Seth Hughes, the Mechanicsburg-based company’s COO of two years, will be giving the title of president.
“From my first day at Mowery, the overall continuity strategy of the company has been a top priority to me,” said Cross. “It’s with much gratitude that I am able advance to a higher leadership role to concentrate fully on the strategy and vision of the company to ensure Mowery’s long-term success. Putting the right people in the right places has also been an essential part of this process and I’m pleased to elevate Seth Hughes to the role of president.”
Hughes began his career at Mowery in 2016 in preconstruction services. He brings a unique and practical perspective to the role of president, seeing that he has worked in the construction industry since the age of 15, the company wrote in a press release.
“I am blessed to be in this position and understand that the bar is very high. As only the fifth person to ever hold the role of president at Mowery, I am filling the shoes of some industry legends,” said Hughes. “It’s my hope to rise to their examples and move the company forward with the same spirit and commitment to excellence.”
