“As a credit union, our philosophy is one of ‘people helping people,’ which includes our members, associates and communities,” said Mike Wilson, president and CEO of Members 1st. Wilson is known and respected for his honesty, ethics and open, authentic, collaborative style of servant leadership. The “culture of WE” is lived internally daily; the collective “WE” is far greater than the individual ME. Members 1st is a “faM1ly,” and its culture gives associates motivation to help members live well financially and help communities thrive.
Wilson has over 20 years of senior leadership experience, including having served as a Cabinet official at the state level. His strong business background has helped to grow many organizations. Coming from a military family that moved frequently, he learned early that one of the constants in his life was his credit union. With a passion for people and entrepreneurial thinking, he leads Members 1st into the future.
“My wife Amy and I love to travel and experience new places, enjoy delicious cuisine, and sample new wines,” Wilson said. “We also enjoy spending time with our 11-year-old, 26-pound rescue pug, Piggy Smalls, and meeting up with friends.”
