CEO
High Companies
As CEO, Shirk’s says his duties are strengthening the family of 11 diverse companies, serving a great team of coworkers, and making a positive impact in the community.
He has been in the position for six years.
“I am extremely proud of the agility and grit shown by the High team in tackling the 2020 COVID challenges. Every day our team demonstrated unwavering commitment to keeping each other healthy, executing very well for our customers and delivering on critical investments for our future,” Shirk said.
The most important life lesson he’s learned is that life is a team sport, and success comes from having a lot of great coaches and teammates along the way. “I am particularly fortunate to have a wife and kids that make me better. They’re my MVPs,” he said.
For fun, Shirk enjoys “pretty much any activity on the water … fishing, boating, crabbing, or just jumping in the waves with the kids.”
