Mid Penn Bank plans to move much of its Harrisburg-area staff to a recently purchased office building in Susquehanna Township.
The space, at 2407 Park Drive, includes a 30,000-square-foot building and two adjacent lots that will give the bank room to expand in the future, said Mid Penn president and CEO Rory Ritrievi.
Mid Penn is in the process of renovating the office. By February or March of next year, the bank plans to begin using it for about 100 of its employees working in and around Harrisburg, Ritrievi said. Some of these employees are currently working in rented spaces, including ones on Front and Derry streets, that Mid Penn will eventually be able to give up.
Ritrievi declined to say how much the bank is spending on the property and renovations.
The new building, tucked into an industrial park, was vacant when Mid Penn purchased it but once housed Aegis Security Insurance. It will offer employees easy access to I-81, helping them get to Mid Penn’s locations throughout the midstate as well as its newly acquired offices in western Pennsylvania, Ritrievi said.
Mid Penn’s headquarters will remain in Millersburg. That space includes the bank’s main board room, Ritrievi’s office and about 40 to 50 employees.
“As long as I’m around, it will always be headquartered in Millersburg,” Ritrievi said of Mid Penn.
