Michael Ripchinski, MD
Chief Physician Executive
Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health
Dr. Ripchinski was recently promoted to his position. He previously served as chief clinical officer, a role he had since July 2018.
Ripchinski enjoys partnering with the health system’s physicians, advanced practice providers and staff to care for the patients and families across the communities it serves. “As a family physician, it means so much for me to develop long-term relationships with our teams and patients to advance their health and well-being,” he said.
He is inspired by servant leaders who lead with purpose and principles. As a result, those leaders engage and inspire us to seek a vision of a better future.
“While COVID-19 has been incredibly challenging for all of us, it has reiterated to me the importance of public health and caring for each other in the community. The pandemic has highlighted the need to focus on social determinants of health in order to meet patients and families ‘where they are at’ and provide timely, effective, and efficient care for what they need and when they need it,” he said.
