President & CEO
Everence Federal Credit Union
In his role as president and CEO, Gehman oversees the development and implementation of Everence’s strategic plan for service and growth while ensuring alignment with its corporate mission and vision. He said he promotes these goals every day on behalf of the credit union’s members, employees, board of directors and community stakeholders.
Gehman served as the Everence chief lending officer since November 2015. He assumed the post as president and CEO on April 1.
He believes that business is about people. “I feel equally accomplished and humbled by being part of the cultivation of leadership around me. When you build success within others, you always continue to move forward,” he said.
Gehman has several important life lessons to share: Don’t be afraid to take chances, make mistakes and learn from them. Strive to go farther than what you think you can. And surround yourself with a network of supportive and inspirational people along the way.
Running has recently become a passion for Gehman. “I enjoy chasing the scenery, as well as the physical challenge. I like to travel and explore new places – but, no matter where I go, I especially love eating! I also enjoy coaching my two daughters’ sports activities,” he said.
