Magazine honors health care organizations' training programs

A national magazine has honored two Central Pennsylvania health systems for their workforce-training and development efforts.

A national magazine has honored two Central Pennsylvania health systems for their workforce-training and development efforts.

Training magazine named Hanover HealthCare Plus and Lancaster General as among the country's top 125 companies for training. York County-based Hanover HealthCare ranked 25th on the list, ahead of multinational corporations such as Allstate Insurance Co. and McDonald's. Lancaster General, which has facilities throughout Lancaster County, ranked 73rd.

Training magazine used several criteria to rank companies, including number of trainers, availability of tuition assistance and employee retention. To see the entire list, click here.
