Woodstream Corp. a company that produces pest and animal control products, plans to relocate its corporate headquarters from Lititz to downtown Lancaster by March 2019.
The company said it will re-purpose its current headquarters located at 69 N. Locust St. into a warehouse and laboratory to support its growing operations and new product development.
It will maintain a factory in Lititz, where it employs more than 180 people in manufacturing and research and development.
For its new office, Woodstream is leasing a building at 29 E. King St. in Lancaster. The company will occupy four floors and 47,000 square feet of the property, where it will relocate approximately 180 corporate employees.
“As we continue to invest in our company, we are confident the new location in Lancaster City will enable us to attract and retain top talent and provide a new and improved environment for all Woodstream employees, vendors and customers,” Miguel Nistal, president and CEO of Woodstream, said in a statement.
With more than 600 employees worldwide, Woodstream also has operations in Mechanicsburg, Tennessee, Missouri, England, China and Ontario.
“That Woodstream, a company with locations all over the world, would choose to move into the city is a testament to the vibrant community we’ve worked so hard to create,” Danene Sorace, city of Lancaster mayor, said in a statement.
Woodstream manufactures and markets pest-control and lawn and garden products under brands such as Victor, Perky-Pet and Mosquito Magnet, among others.
The products are sold at more than 100,000 retail locations and to professional pest-control providers throughout the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, and other international markets.
