A national organization is touting Lititz as one of its top vacation spots this year.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation today named the Lancaster County borough as one of its 2009 Dozen Distinctive Destinations.
In a news release, the Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit hails Lititz it as “the perfect antidote to high-powered city living,” and highlights the town’s history and picturesque surroundings.
In Pennsylvania, Doylestown and West Chester have made the tally in prior years. The National Trust for Historic Preservation began compiling the annual list in 2000 to recognize places that “offer an authentic visitor experience.”
