Beame, formally known as Atomic Lighting, was bought by Nevada-based 4Wall Entertainment, 4Wall announced this week.
4Wall is a national provider of stage and theatrical services. It will keep Beame’s current operations and employees in Lititz, but Beame will be rebranded as 4Wall Pennsylvania, or 4Wall PA.
Beame supplies lighting, rigging and production support to major events and award shows such as Miss America 2016 and the Latin Grammy Awards.
Beame was founded in 2008 by Brad Hafer and Brett Puwalski. Originally called Atomic Lighting, it was a division of Lititz-based Atomic Design, a stage-design company.
In 2015, Atomic Lighting broke off from Atomic Design to become its own entity. Its name changed in January to Beame.
Following Beame’s acquisition by 4Wall, Hafer and Puwalski will continue to manage the operations in Lititz, a news release said.
Hafer spoke of the sale as a positive move, pointing out that 4Wall will improve the local business’s national reach.
“Having nationwide locations filled with quality equipment will allow us to focus even more on client support in the many cities and states we work in,” Hafer said. “While the name on the cases may change, we are committed to providing the same scope of work we always have.”
