Lisa Myers
Principal and COO
Boyer & Ritter, LLC
Myers has been with Boyer & Ritter for 34 years and has been a principal for 21 years, and COO for six months.
She describes her leadership style as transformational. “I want to inspire my team members to strive beyond required expectations to work toward a shared vision. My desire is to give team members more room to be creative, look to the future, and find new solutions to old problems. Empower, support, and remove obstacles, that is how I lead,” she said.
Myers said she has a clear vision and brings people along toward that vision through inspiration. “I encourage people to rise to their best self and act in service of the mission. I have found that I tend to seek out people with different perspectives, asking great questions from a place of openness and curiosity, and making space for reflection and research,” she said.
Myers started her public accounting career after graduating from PSU. She passed the CPA exam shortly after joining the Boyer & Ritter team. She was assigned to a variety of client industries in the early days; specializing in public sector about eight years into her career; then switched to forensic, litigation support and consulting services around year 18 with the firm. “I rolled our service offerings into an advisory services practice group, including business valuations, risk assessments, process improvements, system implementation, etc. I was able to build an amazing team of individuals who provide value-added services to our clients,” she said.
