Camp Hill-based LINKBANCORP, the parent company of LINKBANK, has completed a merger with Gratz, Dauphin County-based GNB Financial Services.

The merger was effective as of Sept. 18 and was announced by LINKBANCORP on Monday. As part of the deal, GNB and its chain of local banks, The Gratz Bank, are now subsidiaries of LINKBANCORP.

LINKBANK’s Capital and Lancaster and Chester county regional banks will receive new branding through the merger and will be renamed to “LINKBANK, a division of The Gratz Bank.”

“This combination unites the rich and successful legacy of The Gratz Bank with the growth-oriented commercial bank model of LINKBANK, creating more career growth opportunities for employees; an expanded footprint with enhanced products and services for clients; an entrepreneurial company with strong earnings and attractive dividends for our shareholders; and the ability to contribute actively and generously in the communities we serve,” said Andew Samuel, CEO of LINKBANCORP.

Following the merger, LINKBANCORP’s total assets are at approximately $940 million with its deposits at about $770 million. Between LINKBANK and Gratz Bank, the entities have 10 branches in Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Northumberland and Schuylkill counties.

LINKBANCORP was formed in 2018. The Gratz Bank was formed in 1934 and created GNB as a holding company in 1986.

“Today marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the history of The Gratz Bank,” said Wesley Weymers, executive chairman at The Gratz Bank. “This is an ideal partnership that provides the talent and scale to become more competitive in our markets while maintaining our rich heritage and providing opportunities for growth in new markets.”
