Kissel Hill already housed primary and pediatric care, sports medicine, physical therapy and laboratory and imaging services, which stayed open during the renovation. The $8.9 million project added on-site pharmacy services and urgent care.
The outpatient facility, located at 51 Peters Rd. in Warwick Township, is staffed by physicians and advance practice providers on the medical staff at LG Health.
Open seven days a week with no appointment necessary, urgent care provides medical care for sprains, cuts, burns, infections or flu symptoms and when patients cannot get in to see their family doctor, such as after hours or on holidays.
Open 14 hours a day, the facility offers expanded services and treatments not available in typical urgent care locations.
· The ability to administer IV fluid for dehydration
· Treatment rooms that have the capability to observe patients for several hours
· Increased capabilities for asthma treatment
· Increase diagnostics for pain (stomach, leg, shortness of breath)
“Extended hours are available to provide care when your family doctor isn’t available, especially nights and weekends, when minor illnesses and injuries often occur,” Stacey Harris, director of operations at LG Health, said in a statement.
“This will be the only facility in Lititz where patients can see a family physician or specialist, have access to care after hours through Urgent Care and immediate access to advanced imaging, physical therapy and lab testing in one location,” Jan Bergen, president & CEO, LG Health, said in a statement.
LG Health has additional urgent care locations in East Hempfield Township, Ephrata, Parkesburg, North Cornwall Township and downtown Lancaster.
