The Lancaster Chamber of Commerce’s leadership development group has a new leader.
Kate Zimmerman will take over as Leadership Lancaster’s executive director in June, according to a news release from the organization. She is replacing Deborah Rohrer, who is retiring after serving in the position for the past decade.
Zimmerman most recently served as Leadership Lancaster’s program director, having joined the group in 2012 after working for Lancaster Area Habitat for Humanity.
Leadership Lancaster runs various educational programs as a division of The Foundation of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Its courses cater to everyone from established executives to emerging leaders.
As executive director, Zimmerman will oversee those programs as well as tasks like recruitment and public relations for the organization.
Zimmerman lives in Manheim Township and is also active in several other Lancaster community groups, including the advisory council of the Lancaster Chamber’s Young Professional Network, Coalition for Sustainable Housing, Lancaster County Community Foundation and Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity.
