The Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts in Harrisburg has reshuffled its board leadership for 2017.
Terry Lehman of Mount Wolf, a retired accountant who last served as an assurance director at BDO LLP, will serve as board chair. Lehman replaces Gary St. Hilaire, president and CEO of Capital BlueCross, who steps down after four years as chair.
Attorney Steve Gierasch of Camp Hill, managing partner at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, will serve as vice chair.
The nonprofit center in downtown Harrisburg also will be led by Elyse Rogers of Mechanicsburg, an attorney with Saidis Sullivan & Rogers, and Kenneth Wolfe of Elizabethtown, an accountant and managing principal with Brown Shultz Sheridan & Fritz. Rogers will be board secretary, while Wolfe will serve as treasurer.
Other new board members include Jonathan Bowser, CEO of Cumberland Area Economic Development Corp., John Moran, president and CEO of Moran Industries Inc., and Scott Pinchak, senior director of BNY Mellon Wealth Management.
The Whitaker Center is currently in the process of looking for a new president and CEO. In August, current leader Michael Hanes announced plans to retire at the end of 2017 after 10 years at the helm.
