“I figure out what my client needs/wants and make it happen,” said Laura Martin, managing director of SVN | Latus Commercial Realty. “No is not in my vocabulary (there’s always a way; over, under, around and through). I provide sales, leasing and property management services to meet my clients’ needs. I am a problem solver. That is a job title and challenge I welcome. Bottom line goal is to get deals signed. As owner of SVN Latus, I oversee office management, marketing and advertising. Our collaboration is one of the greatest things we have going for us.”
Last year “I turned challenges into opportunities through creativity and looking at things differently,” she said. “The economy impacted commercial real estate in many ways, yet SVN | Latus had our best year. For example, lack of workers limited our usual contractors, so we connected with new ones. Utility price rises impacted lease negotiations, so we found new ways to get things done. With COVID, we repositioned some office buildings for new purposes. I am so proud of my team for adjusting on the fly!”
