Millersville-based Martin Insurance Agency said today it has bought a smaller agency in Lancaster County.
The smaller agency is Hostetler Insurance Associates Inc., which will be closing its office in Manheim Township as a result of the acquisition, according to Tom Gibble, a spokesman for Martin.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Glen Hostetler, former owner of Hostetler Insurance, will work part-time over the next year for Martin, Gibble added.
Martin, which sells both business and personal policies, has 12 employees and is owned and operated by Liz Martin, whose great-grandfather founded the firm. Hostetler Insurance had four.
