Kim S. Phipps
President
Messiah University
For the past 18 years, Kim Phipps has been president of Messiah University. In this role, she serves as the institution’s CEO and provides leadership, vision and strategic planning for all aspects of university life, including undergraduate and graduate academic programs, personnel matters, financial affairs, student success, athletics, spiritual formation, development, enrollment management, operations and innovative partnerships. She also advances Messiah’s mission as its chief ambassador and spokesperson.
“The COVID-19 pandemic brought many significant challenges, particularly to Messiah’s undergraduate residential program,” Phipps said. “The shared commitment of administrators, faculty, staff and students to work together to stay open and fulfill our educational mission was inspiring. I was able to witness the steadfast commitment and resilience of the Messiah community as we provided education, care and support for our students in big and small ways – and we did it together!”
