“At AmeriChoice, our core objective is member service above all,” Dyer said. His primary responsibility is to communicate this with the credit union’s team and to provide the focus and tools that allow them to deliver that brand promise daily. “The best way for me to accomplish this is to continually encourage and engage everyone in our mission while fostering an atmosphere of entrepreneurship and servant leadership,” he said. 

He began his role at AmeriChoice in January 2021. Having been a part of the team for only three months, he said he appreciates the fact that the credit union’s long–term commitment to its members and the community is the basis of this recognition. “Each of us at AmeriChoice takes that legacy and obligation very seriously, and I am personally committed to continue the great work that AmeriChoice has done in the community for the past 50 years,” Dyer said.  

He is most proud to have led a diverse team that designed, built and delivered banking, financial and fundraising tools for nonprofit organizations. “This service allowed us to individually support a variety of causes in our community. I was so proud that we formulated a plan where our vocation supported our avocation,” he said. 

Dyer has learned to live life fully every day, and to continually enhance technical knowledge outside his current responsibilities. “Every different position I have held provided the opportunity for me to learn lessons. From these experiences, I have been able to carry with me new knowledge, perspective and skills to apply to new circumstances and challenges,” he explained. 

 His love of experimentation and tinkering keeps life interesting, in particular when applied to his golf game. “I like to be part of projects and chores that result in continual incremental improvement. I take great joy and comfort spending time with my wife, Cheryl, and our dog, Dougal, while exploring ‘what’s next?’,” Dyer said.
