Listen to this articleMany people may be surprised to learn that Julia Coelho has been to law school twice — once in her native Brazil, then again in the U.S. — but that is less surprising once they realize how the words that best describe her are “loyal” and “persistent.” As a child, Coelho wanted to be a talk show host, and remaining open to ideas and perspectives that may be different than one’s own is still a piece of advice that guides her and which she would pass on to others. If she could take a yearlong sabbatical, Coelho would travel throughout Europe and India, but in the meantime, she finds a friendliness about Central Pennsylvania that is unlike any place else she has ever lived. Her work may be demanding, but helping clients achieve their goals — and achieving her own goal of becoming a member at her law firm — keeps her motivated. By following her instincts, she has found “impossible” goals become possible.
