Chairman, Client Advocate
Morefield Communications
As chairman, Morefield is responsible for making sure that the management team delivers solid results for the shareholders. As the client advocate, he asks, “How are we doing?” “I check-in with clients to understand how our partnership is helping their business succeed while identifying areas we could improve upon,” he said.
Morefield served as president for 30-years. After a long-planned transition supporting the company’s current president, Wes Kelly, he became chairman and client advocate.
When Morefield joined the company in 1991, it was a telephone and multimedia systems integrator. “Working with clients and our team, we developed a solid data networking offering. Through the 2000’s we complemented this building a very comprehensive IT Services offering which today represents more than 50% of our profit and revenue. During that time, business tripled,” he said.
The most important life lesson he’s learned: listening closely to clients leads to our mutual success.
Morefield enjoys spending time with friends and family in its many forms. He especially enjoys active events like golfing, hiking or biking with them although a great card game can make an evening. He always enjoys reading a well written non-fiction history or biography book.
