JLG sells excavator line for $39.4 million

JLG Industries Inc. sold its line of Gradall excavators to Alamo Group Inc. for $39.4 million.

JLG Industries Inc. sold its line of Gradall excavators to Alamo Group Inc. for $39.4 million. The sale includes a 430,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in New Philadelphia, Ohio, and equipment related to the business. Executives at the McConnellsburg-based firm said in a prepared statement the sale would allow it to focus more on its core business, aerial-work platforms and telehandlers. Alamo Group is based in Seguin, Texas. The company focuses on right-of-way equipment and agriculture.
