Jim Heinrich

President & COO

Advanced Industrial Services

As president and COO, Heinrich’s duties are to guide, inspire, and work side-by-side with a dedicated team of managers to facilitate production equipment installations and relocation services to a wide range of OEM equipment manufacturers and their Industrial manufacturing clients within many industry types. He said safety, attention to detail, and scheduling flexibility are the attributes Advanced Industrial Services has built its reputation on.

He was hired at AIS in 1990 as national sales manager, was promoted to vice president in 1993, then named president and COO in 2015. He has also served as the corporate secretary and treasurer.

Heinrichs had a prior professional relationship with AIS, as a customer. When his previous employer closed, he joined AIS knowing they were a superb service provider, but quickly learned they had a narrow focus and were barely profitable. “I quickly helped maximize their volume and throughput ability, and then turned to diversification to assure survival during rotating industry downturns. Today AIS is a broad-range industrial contractor with thousands of clients,” he said.

In any service type business, mistakes are going to happen along the way eventually. If you’re honest and upfront with your clients, they will understand that the important issue is to deal with any problems promptly, efficiently, and transparently to make it “right” again for that customer.

Even after a lifelong career of traveling, Heinrichs still loves to plan, book, and take travel vacations with the family whenever he can, as often as he can. “In between those times, I’m always up for a bicycle ride, motorcycle ride, or a countryside cruise in our convertible,” he said.
