In her practice at Post & Schell, Jill Gilden focuses exclusively on defending and counseling Pennsylvania employers, insurance companies and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation proceedings. Her clients include commercial retailers, moving companies, trucking companies, local municipalities, health care providers, construction companies and small and large corporate entities.
“The last year has tested me as I continued to adapt to virtual hearings, depositions and mediations,” Gilden said. “I have practiced workers’ compensation the same way for 20 years, so virtual events have quickened the pace of the trial schedules. Whereas I used to do one hearing or deposition per day, I can now do three or four in a single day. I have overcome the new challenges by embracing technology, focusing on time management, and surrounding myself with an excellent network of colleagues.”
She said her employer clients inspire her with their resilience and commitment to their employees. “Despite the challenges posed by workplace injuries and accidents, as well as COVID, they remain dedicated to providing their workers with the best possible care and support.” Gilden is also inspired by the young attorneys she works with. “These bright and enthusiastic individuals bring a fresh perspective to the legal profession and are not afraid to take on new challenges for our clients.”
