Jersey Mike’s Subs always aims to bring its customers what it calls “a sub above.”
And starting in mid-December, it plans to do that at its first store in York County.
The New Jersey-based restaurant chain, which has 1,169 locations in 41 states plus Washington D.C., plans to open just south of York, in Queensgate Towne Center in York Township, company spokeswoman Josie Capozzi said by phone Wednesday.
Jersey Mike’s, which is based in Manasquan, N.J., could open more locations in the York and Lancaster markets in the near future, Capozzi said.
The retaurant is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, having first opened a small shop in 1956 in the seaside town of Point Pleasant, N.J., its webpage said.
