Jenny Englerth
President & CEO
Family First Health
Englerth’s primary duties are centered around delivering on the mission of the organization.
She works with Family First Health’s board of directors and senior leaders to ensure alignment between the organizational capacity and resources and the health needs of our patients and the communities that Family First serves.
On a daily basis this could include budget oversight, developing and nurturing partnerships, monitoring outcomes, coaching team members or contributing to community efforts that matter to patients.
She relocated, with her family, to York to take this position in 2004. Englerth is very grateful to have been provided this opportunity to promote and support change locally, which builds a healthier community for all.
When asked about an accomplishment she is most proud of, she said she immediately thinks of the new communities that Family First Health has been invited into over the past 15 years.
“The ability to work with leaders in Gettysburg, Columbia and Lebanon to design unique responses to health care access and engagement is where I believe I have been able to make some of my greatest professional impact,” Englerth said.
“When I began my career in health care I was often discouraged from leading with empathy and authenticity. I’m glad I didn’t prioritize that advice. I listened and learned everything I could from those around me and began to trust the methods and approaches that yielded results for me. I never aspired to be the boss, but developing opportunities to lead for myself and others keeps me motivated and engaged,” she said.
