President, CEO and Chair
Ephrata National Bank
He has served three years in his current position.
Stauffer’s leadership style is quiet and inclusive. He surrounds himself with leaders that have diverse viewpoints, opinions, and strengths that he doesn’t have. ”I encourage respectful open dialogue and participation. I try to create an atmosphere where leaders can and do speak up even when their views differ from mine. I feel that this style is effective in encouraging innovation, growth and change necessary to remain relevant in a rapidly changing industry, while remaining true to our roots,” Stauffer said.
He started his career in banking as a teller at Ephrata National Bank in 1982. Stauffer has held various positions over the last 41 years including assistant branch manager, collections, commercial loan officer, commercial lending manager, and senior lender. He was appointed as the bank’s eighth president and CEO in January 2020, and Chairman of the Board in May 2020.
Outside of work he enjoys fishing and spending time with his family. He also volunteers with several non-profits supporting community service work, education and health care. “I treasure the moments spent with my family, and fishing gives me an opportunity for relaxation, quiet time and reflection,” Stauffer said.
