President
Phoenix Contact USA
Nehlig leads the U.S. operations of Phoenix Contact, an automation and control manufacturer serving the manufacturing and industrial infrastructure industries.
He has held the position for 20 years.
He is most proud of a meeting that occurred in 2016. He and Phoenix Contact’s CEO Frank Stuhrenberg had the opportunity to meet and speak to President Obama and Chancellor Angela Merkel as they presented our company’s charging solutions for electric cars.
The most important life lesson Nehlig has learned is the importance of being humble and kind. “We live in a very competitive world, and success can be defined in so many ways. I believe everyone should achieve whatever level of success they aspire to, but HOW that success is achieved is just as important as achieving it,” he said.
Nehlig is a boater. He own a 27-foot, 1955 Chris Craft Sedan Cruiser, and enjoys going for peaceful rides on Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes. “It’s a great way to unwind and reflect,” he said.
