New firm is second to launch this week

The firm is working out of a temporary space at 210 W. Grant. St. but plans to lease a permanent space in 2019, according to a company spokesman.
American Wealth Strategy is the second financial planning firm to announce its opening this week in the county. The first was Odyssey Group Wealth Advisors.
Ellsworth has 18 years of experience as a financial adviser and managing director, most recently as head of Prudential Financial Inc.’s Lancaster office.
Although it is an independent firm, American Wealth Strategy is backed by Minnesota-based Securian Financial Services Inc. Securian is a broker-dealer that provides resources, technology, products, expertise and professional development to independent firms and advisers.
In addition to heading American Wealth Strategy, Ellsworth will be a managing partner at Securian.
“Erik’s leadership experience and proven track record of success make him an outstanding addition to the Securian Financial Network,” Tony Martins, a vice president at Securian Financial, said in a statement.
