Widener School of Law Dean Linda L. Ammons announced she will retire at the end of the school year, but there will be no vacancy at the school’s Susquehanna Township campus.

In conjunction with the retirement announcement, the school immediately announced that Interim Co-Dean Robyn L. Meadows will continue on in that role for the 2014-15 school year at the school’s Harrisburg-area campus. She has been in the position for the spring semester while Ammons has been on sabbatical.

Erin Daly, the interim co-dean at the Wilmington, Del., campus also will remain in her role for the next school year.

Ammons started at Widener in 2006 as a professor and associate dean.

She will continue at the school in her retirement as counsel to Widener University President James T. Harris III for legal education in the upcoming school year.

“I am proud to have contributed to the training of legal professionals in Wilmington and Harrisburg,” Ammons said in a news release. “I have also enjoyed being an active member of the greater communities that the law campuses serve.”
