Insurance trade group preps for new leader after longtime CEO announces retirement

Insurance Agents & Brokers will start 2018 with a new leader at the helm.

Rick Russell is retiring from his position as president and CEO of the trade organization in January, IA&B announced in a recent news release. He has served in that position for 26 years and has been a member of the organization for nearly 40.

Deputy CEO and counsel Jason Ernest will take his place. Ernest has been with the organization for about 12 years and currently oversees legal, government and agency affairs for the group, as well as marketing and communications.

IA&B is a trade organization for insurance agents and brokers in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. It has about 1,100 member agencies.
