Manufacturers in Pennsylvania looking to make innovations to their operations can now apply for funding from the Manufacturing PA Innovations program.
Through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the program is now taking applications from accredited colleges and universities in the state to work with Pennsylvania manufacturers on research projects to create a new product or process innovation.
The program has nearly $1.9 million in funding available, which will be made available in amounts ranging from $25,000 to $70,000.
Any manufacturer looking to participate in a research project that does not have a college or university partner can submit an inquiry at ManufacturingPA.org.
The Manufacturing PA Innovation Program said its goal is to leverage the internationally acclaimed science and engineering talent and discovery capacity of all Pennsylvania’s institutions of higher education to help ensure that Pennsylvania remains a national and international leader in manufacturing and achieves the full economic potential for well-paying manufacturing jobs.
Applications are due Nov. 18. For more information go to the website ManufacturingPA.org
