The industrial real estate market in Central Pennsylvania remained strong at the end of the second quarter, according to a report from CB Richard Ellis’ Harrisburg office.

The industrial real estate market in Central Pennsylvania remained strong at the end of the second quarter, according to a report from CB Richard Ellis’ Harrisburg office.

The region houses 1,760 industrial properties, which account for about 195 million square feet of building space, according to the report.

The region boasted a low vacancy rate of 6.9 percent, according to the report.

About 1.4 million square feet of new space was occupied in the second quarter. More than 1.7 million square feet was under construction.

The average lease price for industrial space in Central Pennsylvania at the end of the second quarter was $4.19 per square foot, according to the report.
