State Auditor General Jack Wagner last week announced that municipalities can receive state aid through electronic funds transfers to bank accounts.
Enrollment, annual certification and personnel-roster forms sent to municipalities are due back to the auditor general's office March 31.
Last year, the state Department of the Auditor General disbursed almost $200 million to 1,494 municipalities for pensions. And more than $67 million was doled out for 1,967 volunteer-firefighter-relief associations, according to Wagner's office.
