In brief: Special election Aug. 4 for Grell’s former House seat
The district’s House seat was recently vacated by Republican Glen Grell, who resigned to become the executive director of the Public School Employees’ Retirement System, or PSERS.
Cumberland County Republican Committee Chairman Greg Rothman, president and CEO of RSR Realtors in Lemoyne, is vying for the office. He is pitted against Democrat Bob Charles, a former IBM executive and nationally recognized model railroader.
Grell was re-elected to the office last year.
